Do you offer support for neurodiverse learners?
Yes. We support learners with a wide range of profiles, including students with disabilities and complex learning needs. Our team helps align assessment data, structured literacy instruction, and intervention plans to best support each learner.
English Language Learners
What support do you offer for English Language Learners?
We provide English Language Learner (ELL) services that include direct student instruction and language development support. Services are designed to build reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Adult English Language Learner and adult literacy services are a future area of expansion. Families and community members are encouraged to contact us to discuss current offerings and upcoming opportunities.
Dyslexia
Do you offer Dyslexia Evaluations?
Yes. We offer dyslexia screening and evaluation services for K-12 students. Our assessments help accurately identify needs and guide targeted instruction and intervention.

Tutoring
What tutoring services to you offer?
- The MCESC Language and Literacy Center is currently focused on providing evidence-based language and literacy services. We look forward to expanding our offerings to include math tutoring in the future.
- The Center currently serves students in grades K-12 through language and literacy services, with plans to expand tutoring opportunities for adult learners in the future.
How do I register?
- Click "Register Now."
- Enter the student's date of birth, then select "Next."
- Create a student account. License or permit information is not required. If the student does not have an email address, please use a parent or guardian's email address.
- Choose whether you would like to receive text reminders and notifications, then select "Next."
- Complete the Parent/Guardian Contact Information section, then select "Next."
- Read and agree to the Terms of Service, then provide your signature.
- Review, print if desired, and sign the Package Contract.
- Proceed to payment to complete the registration process.
Do you offer scholarships?
We are currently working on securing grant funding for scholarships. Please contact llc@mcesc.org for more details.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, check, or cash.
How often does tutoring occur?
Students may receive tutoring one, two, or three hours per week depending on their individualized plan.
What makes your tutoring different?
Our tutoring is individualized, evidence-based, and follows the principles of Structured Literacy. Instruction is diagnostic, explicit, systematic, cumulative, and multisensory.
Do I need assessment before tutoring?
Current assessment data is needed to develop an individualized tutoring plan. If recent assessment information is available and provides sufficient information, additional testing may not be necessary.
Do I need to reside in Montgomery County?
Services are available to families throughout the region.
